Ilham Aliyev spoke about the potential for developing Azerbaijani-Japanese relations
Crude oil supplies to Japan are becoming more important than ever, as traditional supply routes have been disrupted. Azerbaijan's role in this regard is becoming even more significant.
As reported by AZERTAJ, President Ilham Aliyev stated this at the opening of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.
The head of state noted that favorable partnership traditions have been established with Japan in various fields. He also emphasized the potential for expanding ties in the defense industry, along with the energy sector, as well as the possibility of creating joint ventures.
"Indeed, there are currently fewer projects, and over the past 5-6 years we have not observed active diplomatic contacts between our countries. This situation developed after the second Karabakh war, but the potential still exists. I believe there should be more contacts between representatives of the government, business circles, and companies. In that case, we will be able to identify additional advantages of our cooperation," President Ilham Aliyev added.
