Ilham Aliyev congratulated Masoud Pezeshkian

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

As reported by AZERTAC, the message states:

"Dear Mr. President,

On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and your entire people on the national holiday of the Islamic Republic of Iran - the Day of Victory of the Islamic Revolution.

The development of relations between our peoples and countries, connected to each other by common religious and cultural roots and ties of good neighborliness, is of particular importance to us. The growing dynamics of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations in recent times is gratifying.

Your official and working visits to Azerbaijan last year, opening a new page in the history of interstate relations, gave impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

Currently, the scope of issues on the bilateral agenda is expanding and being filled with new content. The intensive nature of visits at various levels, signed documents, joint projects being implemented, including the effective activities of the State Commission, create favorable opportunities for deepening cooperation of mutual interest.

I am confident that through our joint efforts, Azerbaijani-Iranian relations and cooperation will continue to strengthen in the name of security and prosperity of our region in the interests of two friendly and brotherly peoples.
