Ilham Aliyev called the President of the UAE

On August 10, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, during the telephone conversation, it was noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE are of a friendly and brotherly nature. The recent visit of our head of state to the UAE and his meeting with President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were noted with satisfaction.

The importance of the declaration and other documents signed by the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia with the witness of the US President during President Ilham Aliyev's visit to the US was emphasized, and the significance of all this in terms of ensuring lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region was noted. The special role of US President Donald Trump in achieving these results was highly appreciated.

The head of our state touched upon the significance of the bilateral meeting between Azerbaijan and Armenia held in Abu Dhabi in July of this year in terms of the agreements reached and expressed gratitude to President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for this.

Congratulating the head of our state on the achieved results, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan noted that they are of historical significance.

During the telephone conversation, the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE in the energy sector, including in the field of renewable energy, was noted, and an exchange of views on mutual investments took place.

The head of state invited President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to pay a visit to Azerbaijan. The invitation was accepted with satisfaction.
