President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The head of our state warmly congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wished him long life, good health, new successes and achievements in his honorable highest state activities for the sake of a happy future and prosperity of the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the sincere congratulations and kind words, and in turn wished the Azerbaijani people prosperity and well-being.

During the telephone conversation, the importance of Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations of strategic alliance was emphasized, and satisfaction was expressed with the successful development of ties in all spheres.

The heads of state also confirmed the agreement on future contacts, exchanged views on issues of mutual interest and prospects for bilateral relations.
