This is the second visit of the President of Italy, Mr. Mattarella, to Azerbaijan. The first official visit took place 7 years ago.
As reported by AZERTAJ, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in a press statement with the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella.
"Today's visit demonstrates the very successful development of Italian-Azerbaijani relations. We are true strategic partners," the head of state noted.
