Ilham Aliyev: A large anti-Azerbaijani group was operating within the European Commission

It was revealed that Josep Borrell maintained relationships with certain corrupt individuals, including former International Court judge Mr. Ocampo. It turned out that he was financed by a Russian-Armenian oligarch who is currently under house arrest in Armenia.

As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev stated this at the opening of the IV Shusha Global Media Forum.

"There was a major anti-Azerbaijani group operating within the European Commission, and we hope that Mr. Borrell has permanently left politics. Since then, our relations have begun to improve. In particular, we saw that there was an urgent need for a mutual reset of these relations, and we supported this initiative," the head of state declared.
