Hikmet Hajiyev held a meeting with Professor Jeffrey Sachs

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev met with world-renowned economist Professor Jeffrey Sachs.

As reported by BAKU.WS, H. Hajiyev announced this on his page on the social network X.

According to him, during the meeting with the professor, who is visiting Baku, issues of sustainable development, geopolitics, and geoeconomics were discussed.

"We also exchanged views on the concept of the Caspian region, Azerbaijan's growing role as a middle power, our peace agenda, and the importance of the countries of the region determining its future themselves. Professor's initiative Marco Polo – Drive of Peace, which involves traveling by electric vehicles along the East-West route, is an inspiring example of promoting dialogue, cooperation, and connectivity," H. Hajiyev wrote.
