Guterres highly appreciated the meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia

The meeting between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, which took place on July 10 in Abu Dhabi, can be considered as a step towards strengthening the consensus on the text of the peace treaty between the two countries reached in March.
This was stated by the official representative of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Stephane Dujarric, in response to a question from the American bureau of Report, expressing the position of the Secretary-General.
According to Dujarric, Guterres is following the ongoing positive processes between the two countries very closely.
"We welcome this dialogue between the two countries that have experienced tension for a long time. We remember the agreement on the peace treaty reached in March, and we consider this a very positive development. This meeting can be seen as a step towards strengthening the consensus on the text of the peace treaty. The Secretary-General is following these processes very closely," emphasized Dujarric.
