From Abu Dhabi-2025 to Abu Dhabi-2026: Prize for the Will for Peace
The awarding of the "Zayed Award for Human Fraternity" to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has become an international recognition of his decisive contribution to establishing peace in the South Caucasus. Having gone through the path from a difficult and victorious war, the Azerbaijani leader made a conscious choice in favor of stopping the bloodshed, restoring stability, and forming a new regional security architecture.

It is noted that the signing of important documents between Azerbaijan and Armenia on August 8, 2025, in Washington, as well as the subsequent award ceremony in Abu Dhabi, recorded the role of Ilham Aliyev as a politician who managed to stop at the border and direct the region towards peace, trade, and transport connectivity. The award has become a symbol of recognition of efforts that have transformed years of confrontation into a process of sustainable peaceful coexistence.
