The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France expressed full solidarity with Azerbaijan over Iran's attack on Nakhchivan.

This was stated in a declaration by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"France strongly condemns the Iranian drone attack that struck Nakhchivan International Airport in Azerbaijan this morning. France wishes a speedy recovery to the four people injured in this attack," the statement reads.

It notes that Paris expresses full solidarity with Baku "in the face of this unjustified attack, which constitutes a clear violation of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and the norms of international law."

As a reminder, on March 5, unmanned aerial vehicles launched from the territory of Iran attacked targets on the territory of Nakhchivan. One of the drones hit the terminal building of Nakhchivan International Airport, and the second landed near a school building in the village of Shekerebad. As a result of the airport attack, four civilians were injured. The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Demirchilu, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Azerbaijan stated that it reserves the right to a retaliatory strike.
