France appoints new ambassador to Azerbaijan

The French government has approved the candidacy of a new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
As BAKU.WS reports, this was announced in a publication by the French embassy in our country on the social network X.
It is noted that Sophie Lagoutte has been appointed as the new head of the French diplomatic mission in Baku.
"It is a great honor for me to serve France, our interests and compatriots in Azerbaijan as an ambassador. I will carry out this mission, continuing the path of Anne Boillon.
Together with the team of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, I look forward to further developing French-Azerbaijani relations in this region, which is of strategic importance for our country and the European Union," the diplomat noted on her page on the aforementioned social network.
Honneur de servir prochainement la France, nos intérêts et nos compatriotes en tant qu'ambassadrice en Azerbaïdjan, dans la lignée de @Niece_de_Rameau.
