Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran discussed regional issues

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
As Report informs, the parties discussed bilateral and regional issues.
Bayramov emphasized the importance of political dialogue in the development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations.
Special attention was paid to joint projects in energy, transport, and investment spheres. In particular, they discussed the strategic importance of transport corridors passing through Iran's territory, as well as infrastructure projects connecting the western regions of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan.
The ministers also noted the role of the intergovernmental economic commission in expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries.
