Erdogan: We continue the normalization process with Armenia in coordination with Azerbaijan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan answered journalists' questions on his way back from Azerbaijan and commented on current agenda issues.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TRT Haber, Erdogan emphasized that they are following the ongoing restoration and rehabilitation work in Karabakh with satisfaction:
"We continue to support these efforts. We note with satisfaction the steps taken in the context of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. In fact, we have repeatedly expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached between the parties on August 8 in Washington. After more than 30 years of instability in the South Caucasus, a window of opportunity has opened for establishing lasting peace and tranquility. The speedy completion of the peace process will bring the winner of the war - Azerbaijan - to the forefront as the architect of peace in the region.
First of all, the victory in Karabakh is a victory not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire Turkic world. From the very beginning, we declared to friends and enemies that "Turkey stands by Azerbaijan to the end," we expressed our support for Azerbaijan even before the first step was taken. Turkish UAVs, systems produced thanks to the work of our engineers, have become a symbol of Turkish intelligence, will, and courage. After the victory, a wind of peace is blowing in the region, and we, as Turkey, are pleased with this. We are also conducting the process of normalizing relations with Armenia in coordination with Azerbaijan. While conducting this process, we also inform our interlocutors that we will never allow Azerbaijan's rights to be infringed upon."
