BBC against Azerbaijan: a journey to the past on a time machine

A few days ago, an article by co-authors Magerram Zeynalov and Grigor Atanesyan ("sweet couple," isn't it?) was published on the BBC website under the headline "Human Rights in Exchange for Gas? EU Criticized for Relations with Azerbaijan".

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is discussed in the latest story on the Caliber YouTube channel.

"We won't dwell on the content of this article in detail - it doesn't deserve it. Besides, anyone interested can read it themselves, if they have the patience to finish it. The red thread of this so-called "Armenian-Azerbaijani creation" can be expressed in one sentence: "Azerbaijan is, of course, an important partner of the European Union, especially in the energy sector, but it has one major sin that overshadows everything and turns it into a state that white Europeans are forced to shake hands with, albeit very reluctantly, namely (and don't fall down here) human rights, persecution of independent journalists, ethnic cleansing in Karabakh and the authoritarianism of the current government".

You know, if someone had told us this red thread in advance, we wouldn't have even started reading that article. What's more, we wouldn't have even opened it. Over 30 years, we've seen more than enough of this garbage. But since it accidentally caught our eye and we gathered the strength to read it to the end, we want to, first, advise not to waste several minutes of your life reading it (it really isn't worth it), and second, address a series of questions to its co-authors (and also to the person behind them, but more on that later).

Listen, did you fall from the Moon? What century are you living in? Don't you see what changes have occurred in the world over the past 5 years, including in our region? Did you sleep through it all?" - the material notes.
