Representatives of the public association "Azerbaijan Campaign to Ban Landmines" and the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Marian de Jong, discussed the humanitarian consequences of mine contamination and international cooperation in this area during a meeting.

"During the meeting, the parties discussed the humanitarian consequences of mine contamination in Azerbaijan, the current state of demining operations, initiatives for mine risk education among the population, as well as the challenges faced by mine victims. The organization's representatives also presented an overview of projects implemented in previous years and reports prepared in this area," the statement said.

The parties emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the field of global mine action and discussed opportunities to strengthen support in addressing Azerbaijan's mine problem, given its scale.
