The policy of mass mining carried out by Armenia in the territories liberated from occupation remains today one of the main threats affecting the humanitarian situation and security of the region. The mine threat hinders the return of people to their native lands and also seriously affects the pace of the restoration and construction process.

Political analyst Yegana Hajiyeva noted in a comment to Baku TV that this is one of the issues for which the state of Armenia bears responsibility toward the civilian population.

"Currently, cases of people dying as a result of mine explosions show that this is a long-term threat. If we consider that the risk of such incidents continues to persist in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, then there must be a responsible party in this matter. In my opinion, Armenia bears responsibility for this," she stated.
