Approved State Program on Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking and Drug Addiction

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the approval of the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances, Their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2025-2030".
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAG, the document states:
"Guided by paragraphs 3 and 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in order to strengthen the fight against illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and drug addiction, as well as to ensure the sustainability of systematic and comprehensive measures implemented in this area, I decree:
1. To approve the "State Program on Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Their Precursors and Drug Addiction for 2025-2030" (hereinafter - the State Program).
2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall:
2.1. coordinate and control the implementation of measures provided for in the State Program;
2.2. resolve other issues arising from this Order.
3. The State Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall:
3.1. monitor and evaluate the implementation of measures provided for in the State Program;
3.2. inform the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan once a year on the status of implementation of measures provided for in the State Program".
