Ali Kerimli and Mamed Ibrahim have been brought in for questioning as part of the Ramiz Mehtiyev case

Yesterday, the State Security Service (SSS) conducted searches at the homes of Ali Kerimli, chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan Party (PFAP), and party functionary Mamed Ibrahim, after which both were taken to the SSS for questioning.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, today it became known that both figures have been involved in the investigation as suspects in the criminal case against former Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehtiyev, the investigation of which continues in the SSS.

At the moment, no charges have been brought against them.

We remind you that currently Mehtiyev is accused under Articles 278.1 (actions aimed at seizing state power), 274 (high treason), and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained through criminal means) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
