Ali Asadov: Baku is ready to provide Ankara with comprehensive support for COP31
Azerbaijan is ready to provide comprehensive support to Turkey in preparation for the COP31 climate conference, which the country will host in 2026.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov during his speech at the 12th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkish Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
According to him, Baku attaches great importance to cooperation with Ankara in the field of environmental protection and combating climate change. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for high-level participation in the COP29 summit held in Azerbaijan in November 2024.
Ali Asadov also congratulated brotherly Turkey on being selected as the host country for COP31. He noted that the choice of Antalya city is a high appreciation of Turkey's efforts in the field of countering climate change.
"Azerbaijan is ready to provide brotherly Turkey with comprehensive support in the preparation process for COP31," emphasized the head of government.
