The Report news agency became a media partner of WUF13

Media partners of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), to be held in Baku, have been announced.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the media partners, along with extensive coverage of the event at the global, regional, and national levels, will convey to a broad audience the discussions held within the framework of WUF13 and the key outcomes achieved, including the expected document "Baku Call to Action."

Reports and materials prepared by media partners will contribute to raising awareness about such priority areas of sustainable urban development as providing decent and affordable housing, transforming informal settlements and slums, as well as ensuring access to land and basic services.

The international media partners of the WUF13 event are Euronews, ArchDaily, Century of Cities, and Xinhua News Agency.

The local media partners are Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting (AzTV), Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (İctimai TV), AnewZ TV channel, Caspian International Broadcasting Company (CBC TV), Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), Report News Agency, Trend News Agency, Azəri-Press Agency (APA), ASAN Radio, and Planet FM.

It should be noted that WUF13 will take place on May 17-22 in Baku. The forum is being held in close cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and is aimed at exchanging international experience in the field of sustainable urban planning, "smart cities," and innovative urban solutions.

This year's theme - "Housing for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements" - along with bringing to the forefront the need to address the global housing crisis, will emphasize the important role of housing provision as one of the main driving forces of inclusive, sustainable, and long-term urban development.

WUF13, by bringing together national governments, cities, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society, will contribute to advancing solutions to overcome the global housing crisis, as well as to the more effective implementation of the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
