The President awarded a number of individuals the Order "For Service to the Fatherland" 3rd class

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on awarding the "For Service to the Fatherland" order of the 3rd degree to military personnel and civilian employees of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan who became shahids (martyrs) in combat operations for the restoration of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in the line of duty while protecting the state border.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the document states:

"Guided by paragraph 23 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decree:

To posthumously award the "For Service to the Fatherland" order of the 3rd degree to the following military personnel and civilian employees of the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who displayed courage and bravery in combat operations for the restoration of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and in the line of duty while protecting the state border, who became shahids, having honorably fulfilled their service duty in carrying out the tasks assigned to the military unit:
