The main character of Mel Gibson's "Apocalypto" has been arrested

American actor Rudy Youngblood, known for his leading role in Mel Gibson's film "Apocalypto" (2006), was arrested in Belton, Texas. The man was detained on the morning of October 14 on an arrest warrant related to assault charges.

This was reported by the Bell County Sheriff's Office to Deadline.

The actor, who recently landed a key role in the historical drama "Matador," is suspected of assaulting a family member or household member, during which "actions were taken that impeded the victim's breathing or circulation."

Youngblood is currently in custody, with bail set at $20,000.

In December 2024, the actor was arrested after causing a disturbance in Greece, when he, under the influence of alcohol, crashed into a service vehicle near a police station and created a scene with a law enforcement officer, threatening him with a knife. As a result, the "Apocalypto" star was deported from the country.

Later, the man claimed that the police officers did not show him their credentials, and due to his lack of knowledge of the language, he could not understand who these people were and what they wanted from him.
