Road police appealed to drivers

The Main Department of the State Road Police (MDSRP) has addressed drivers in connection with bad weather in Azerbaijan.

The department stated that the rainy weather conditions currently observed in the capital and some regions of the country create additional difficulties for road users, increase road surface slipperiness, and limit visibility, which raises the risk of traffic accidents.

The MDSRP urges drivers to properly assess weather conditions, strictly observe speed limits, increase following distance, monitor the technical condition of vehicles, and avoid sudden maneuvers.

"Attentive, disciplined, and patient behavior during adverse weather conditions plays an important role in ensuring the safety of all road users. In this regard, we urge drivers to strictly comply with traffic rules," the statement said.
