Photos spread of 19-year-old Terter resident who died during childbirth

Today, 19-year-old Roya Allahverdiyeva, a resident of Hajigervend village, died during childbirth at the Tartar Central District Hospital.

As Baku TV reports, the relatives of the deceased claim that the incident occurred due to the negligence of doctors.

The husband of the deceased, Teymur Allahverdiyev, said that despite the delivery taking place around 04:00, the medical staff continued to assert until 11:00 that the condition of both the mother and the child was satisfactory, thereby depriving the family of the opportunity to bring in another specialist in time.

"We could have called another doctor during that time. A nurse came up to me and told me to buy liver kebab and chocolate, saying that my wife was bleeding and she needed to eat those. When the surgeon arrived and examined Roya, he said 'the woman is dead, why did you call me?'" the man recounted.
