On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, an iftar ceremony was held

On March 4, the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, opened an iftar table at his residence on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAJ, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, as well as leaders of religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan, participated in the event.

The iftar ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Quran and the Ramadan prayer.

The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, spoke about the significance of the month of Ramadan, highlighted state-religion relations and the atmosphere of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan. He said that Azerbaijan is a state that defends Islamic values and interests in the world, makes an important contribution to Islamic solidarity, and demonstrates a resolute stance in the fight against Islamophobia.

Then the leaders of religious confessions operating in Azerbaijan and other guests delivered speeches. The speeches highly appreciated the steps taken by Azerbaijan at the international level in promoting religious and intercultural dialogue, emphasizing that our country has established an exemplary model in this area.

After that, the iftar table was opened.
