Ministry of Defense checked combat readiness of special forces units

In accordance with the training plan for 2026, the Main Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense conducted an inspection of the N-th military unit of the Special Operations Forces (SOF).

As reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, prior to the start of the inspection, the Battle Flag of the military unit was brought out to the parade ground.

A moment of silence was observed in memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and compatriots who gave their lives for the Motherland, and the national anthem was performed accompanied by a military orchestra.

During the subsequent stages of the inspections conducted by the Main Military Inspectorate of the Ministry of Defense, the military unit's staff activities, the level of combat training, and the state of logistical support were inspected. Special operations battalions were put on alert, and in accordance with the assigned combat mission, their tactical actions, field skills, and level of operational readiness were evaluated.

The relevant officials were given instructions on more effective organization of combat training activities, enhancement of the professionalism of military personnel, and bringing service standards in line with modern requirements.
