Investigation by AnewZ: Offshore Networks and the Political Role of Ruben Vardanyan

The AnewZ TV channel has prepared a documentary film (investigation - ed.), dedicated to the financial capabilities, political influence, and role in shaping public opinion of Armenian citizen Ruben Vardanyan, who is accused of serious crimes against Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the documentary film titled "The Oligarch's Design" explores how financial power, political influence, and targeted narratives can impact conflicts and public perception.

The film is based on international journalistic investigations, open-source intelligence data, as well as materials about a large-scale offshore financial network called Troika Laundromat, which was previously exposed and reportedly linked to Russian corporate and political interests.

The documentary tells about Ruben Vardanyan's transition from his activities in Moscow's financial elite to political processes in Karabakh. In particular, it covers his renunciation of Russian citizenship in 2022 and his subsequent position in an unrecognized separatist organization.

The film presents these processes in a broader geopolitical and financial context, analyzing how individuals, while being outside the public spotlight, are able to influence regional stability. "The Oligarch's Design" aims not to express a position, but to document mechanisms of power and inform the public.
