In Baku, a school with more than 850 students has no sports hall
The absence of a sports hall at full secondary school No. 323, located in the settlement of Yeni Gala in the Khazar district of Baku, has caused dissatisfaction among parents.
In a complaint received by the Baku TV hotline, citizens report that students are unable to conduct physical education classes.
In some cases, children during classes are forced to exercise in an area near the school where cars are moving. This creates serious risks to their safety.
"More than 850 students attend the educational institution. Due to the lack of a sports hall and stadium, children are forced to play football right on the asphalt. Several children have already fallen and sustained injuries," noted one of the parents.
As stated by the Baku City Education Department, commenting on the situation, ongoing work is being carried out to upgrade school infrastructure and expand the network of educational institutions, as well as implement programs aimed at social development.
"These measures are aimed at improving the learning conditions of students and enhancing the quality of education. In the event of reconstruction of the mentioned school in the coming years, the construction of a sports hall is planned," the department noted.
