In April, the temperature in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula exceeded the norm for 21 days
In April of this year, the weather in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula deviated noticeably from the climatic norm: for most of the month, temperatures remained above the usual values.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by the head of the National Hydrometeorological Service, Nazim Mahmudov.
According to him, during the month, air temperatures exceeded the climatic norm for 21 days, while only 6 days were below normal and 3 days matched it. The average monthly temperature was 13°C, which is 1°C above the norm.
The maximum temperature on Absheron was recorded on April 3 - up to 25°C in Sumgayit, while in the regions - on April 27, when the air in Yevlakh warmed up to 29°C. The minimum values were observed on April 9 in Bina - 6°C, and in the highland areas on April 16, the temperature dropped to minus 12°C (Shahdag).
Across the regions as a whole, precipitation was recorded over 27 days. The highest amount fell in Baku and on Absheron - 111 mm (479% of the monthly norm).
