A group of district organization chairmen, who were expelled from the ranks of the Ana Vətən ("Homeland") party, has filed a lawsuit against party chairman Fazail Agamaly.

Elchin Agamaly, son of F. Agamaly, reported this to Oxu.Az.

According to him, despite appealing to the Ministry of Justice after the scandalous party congress last year, the department considered the issue controversial and did not give a positive response.

"The chairmen of the district organizations have applied to the Narimanov District Court with a lawsuit regarding their illegal expulsion from the party, as well as with a complaint about the congress. After last year's congress, a process of persecution began against the chairmen of district (city) organizations who supported my candidacy.

They were expelled from the party ranks and removed from their positions based on unfounded claims, and in many cases without any reason given at all. This involves three-quarters of the existing local party organizations. Decisions were made on behalf of illegitimate party structures, which led to the adoption of even more illegal decisions," added E. Agamaly.

He emphasized that a secret congress was held within the party.

Recall that on October 25, 2025, at the scandalous congress of the Ana Vətən party, Fazail Agamaly's daughter, deputy Gunay Agamaly, his son Elchin Agamaly, and two other people were running for the position of party chairman.

F. Agamaly, who nominated Gunay Agamaly, stated that E. Agamaly tried to disrupt the work of the congress, and in the current situation, the congress delegates supported his continuation as chairman until the next congress.

Elchin Agamaly, in turn, claimed that he was elected chairman, receiving more than 100 votes out of 155 congress delegates.

Against the backdrop of the scandal, F. Agamaly announced the postponement of the extraordinary congress. On November 3, E. Agamaly stated that documents related to the extraordinary congress held on October 25 were submitted to the Ministry of Justice.
