Enrollment for available spots in 1st grades of priority schools begins

Open enrollment begins at general education institutions where priority rights were applied during electronic registration of children for the first grade.

This was reported to BAKU.WS by the State Agency for Preschool and General Education.

It is reported that starting from 11:00 on June 5, 2026, as part of the electronic registration of children for the first grade, open (without consideration of priorities) enrollment for vacant places will begin at general education institutions in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, and the Absheron district, where priority rights were previously in effect.

After the specified date, priority rights will no longer be taken into account when selecting a school and teacher in the Azerbaijani sector of education.
