Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture may develop financial support mechanisms for independent theaters

The Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan is considering the possibility of developing mechanisms for financial support of independent theaters.

As BAKU.WS reports, the head of the theater sector of the Ministry of Culture, Beyukhanim Talybova, stated this in an interview with Report.

According to her, in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for 2026-2030, the development of not only state but also private theaters is envisaged.

"It is at this stage that mechanisms for financial support of independent theater groups are planned to be developed," Talybova added.

She also emphasized that the activities of independent theaters are under the constant attention of the ministry.

"Theaters that apply to the ministry are provided with conditions and appropriate support as far as possible," the representative of the Ministry of Culture emphasized.
