ATTENTION citizens: new requirements for combination boilers and stoves are being introduced

New safety requirements for gas stoves, combination boilers, and water heaters will be introduced in Azerbaijan.
As reported by Oxu.Az, gas-powered devices must eliminate the risk of explosion, gas pathway connections must be airtight, and the accumulation of unburned gas to dangerous levels must be prevented.
In addition, the design of the appliances must ensure stable flame combustion, and impermissible concentrations of carbon and nitrogen oxides must not form in combustion products.
In devices connected to a chimney, accidental entry of combustion products into the premises must be prevented. In the event of a malfunction in the flue exhaust system, the gas supply to the combustion chamber must be shut off.
The regulation applies to household gas heaters, cooking stoves, water heaters, and other equipment.
The requirements will come into effect on November 6.
