Anar Guliyev met with the former director of UN-Habitat

Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan Anar Guliyev met with former Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Maimunah Mohd Sharif.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), the head of the State Committee wrote in his account on the social network X.

"Her leadership period marked a special stage when cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat began to take shape, and the foundation for a future strategic partnership was laid," A. Guliyev noted.

He added that it was precisely the mutual trust and shared vision established in the early years of cooperation between Azerbaijan and UN-Habitat that subsequently played an important role in holding WUF13 in Baku.

It should be noted that UN-Habitat is currently headed by Anacláudia Rossbach.
