Allahshukur Pashazade: The World Council of Churches is being used as an instrument against the peace process

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade sent a letter to the Secretary General of the World Council of Churches regarding the organization's statements of April 23.

As reported by Oxu.Az, in his letter Pashazade called the distortion of facts and events in the region unacceptable.

According to him, representatives of Armenian churches regularly attempt to exert influence on the World Council, as a result of which provocative and false information is disseminated through the organization, which hinders the peace process between Baku and Yerevan and gives the issue a religious undertone.
