A search was conducted at Ali Kerimli's house as part of a criminal case against Ramiz Mehtiyev
The house of the Chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Ali Kerimli, was searched.
According to information received by Report, the search in his apartment was conducted as part of an investigation by the State Security Service (SSS), but he was not detained.
Note that the investigation regarding Ali Kerimli is being conducted as part of the criminal case against former Presidential Administration head Ramiz Mehtiyev.
It should be noted that on October 14, the Baku Sabail District Court made a decision on the criminal case against Ramiz Mehtiyev. The court granted the investigation's request and chose house arrest for four months as a preventive measure for Ramiz Mehtiyev, who is accused of committing especially serious crimes.
Ramiz Mehtiyev is charged under Articles 278.1 (actions aimed at seizing state power), 274 (treason) and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained through criminal means) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
