The average monthly salary in Azerbaijan increased by 10%

In the first quarter of this year, the average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,084 manats, which is 10% higher compared to the same period last year.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the average monthly nominal salary was higher in such sectors of the economy as mining, financial and insurance activities, information technology and communications, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as transport and warehousing.
As of April 1 of this year, the number of employees in the country's economy was 1,774,900 people, of which 880,100 are employed in the public sector, and 894,800 in the private sector.
Of the employees, 18.6% are engaged in trade and vehicle repair, 18.6% in education, 13.7% in industry, 8.5% in healthcare and social services, 6.6% in construction, 6.3% in public administration and defense; social security, 4.2% in transport and warehousing, and 14.9% in other sectors of the economy.
