# SOCAR Opens Academy of Operational Technologies
The opening of the Academy of Operational Technologies, created at the Baku Higher School of Oil within the framework of cooperation between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Honeywell, has taken place.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to SOCAR, the academy is considered the next important step towards the development of human capital and digitalization in accordance with SOCAR's approved corporate strategy until 2035.
The Academy will contribute to accelerating digital transformation in SOCAR's production zones, improving operational safety and reliability, as well as the systematic development of knowledge and skills of engineering and technical personnel in the field of modern automation and control systems.
At the opening ceremony, guests were given a detailed account of the operating principle of the training equipment, as well as the condition of the center before and after renovation.
