Registration for SOCAR Hackathon 2025 has begun

SOCAR Hackathon 2025 will take place at Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on December 13-14.

As Oxu.Az reports, the purpose of the hackathon is to develop new technological solutions in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and data engineering in accordance with SOCAR's innovation agenda, as well as to stimulate young people to work on creative, practical solutions.

The hackathon will be held in two areas:

AI Engineering: handwritten email data;

Data Engineering: seismic data recovery.

Participants can apply as teams consisting of a maximum of three people.

During the preliminary selection stage, the motivation letter, resume, and technical skills of the teams will be taken into account.

The selected teams will work for 48 hours on technological solutions based on real databases provided by SOCAR.

Prize fund (for each area):

1st place - 4,000 manats;

2nd place - 2,000 manats;

3rd place - 1,000 manats.
