Oil transportation volume via BTC revealed for January–April
The volume of oil transportation through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline in January–April 2026 amounted to 8.39 million tons, which is 9.9% less compared to the same period of 2025
According to the State Statistics Committee, BTC accounted for 77% of all oil transportation during the reporting period.
Of the total volume, 6.91 million tons (82.4%) was Azerbaijani oil, and 1.48 million tons (17.6%) was transit oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. At the same time, the volume of Azerbaijani oil decreased by 10.6%, while transit oil decreased by 6.8%.
The BTC pipeline primarily transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from the "Shah Deniz" field, as well as oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
