Jabbarov: The Middle Corridor is an important tool for strengthening regional integration

The Middle Corridor is an important tool for strengthening the economic, trade, and investment integration of the region.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov at the panel "China and the Global Governance Initiative," held within the framework of the XIII Global Baku Forum.

According to him, the Middle Corridor, connecting Central Asia with the South Caucasus, is of great importance for trade and transit of goods between China, Turkey, and Europe in both directions.

"More importantly, this route is used as an important tool for strengthening the economic, trade, and investment integration of the region," Jabbarov said.

The minister also noted that Azerbaijan is well aware of the importance of complying with international law.

"We must, using the right and appropriate tools, enhance economic cooperation and trade in the region. The events taking place in the region show that international relations are at a stage of transformation," he emphasized.
