It has been revealed how much VAT has been refunded to consumers in Azerbaijan over 4 months

In January-April of the current year, 70 million 452.1 thousand manats of previously paid VAT was refunded to individual consumers in Azerbaijan.

The refund was made on tax paid for goods purchased from retail trade and public catering entities (excluding oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products), as well as for services in the field of theatrical performances, film screenings, visits to museums, and symphony orchestra concerts. In addition, the refund extended to medical services provided by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice, as well as accommodation and lodging services at hotels located in territories liberated from occupation.

Over the four months, the amount of VAT refunded from the state budget to foreign citizens under the "tax free" system for goods purchased for personal consumption within the country amounted to 2 million 758.4 thousand manats.
