ING Makes New Inflation Forecast for Azerbaijan
The largest banking group in the Netherlands, ING Group, forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan at 4.8% in 2025 and 4.7% in 2026.
This is reported by Report with reference to ING. These expectations exceed the group's January forecast by 0.4 and 0.2 percentage points respectively.
According to the forecast, the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2025 will be 5.4%, in the second quarter - 5.7%, in the third and fourth quarters - 4%, and in the last quarter of 2026 - 5.6%.
The Ministry of Economy expects that annual inflation in the country will be 4.6% in 2025 and 4% in 2026. According to the latest forecasts of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (in January 2025), inflation this year will be 5.5%, and in 2026 - 3.8%.
The UN, in turn, forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan at 3.6% this year, and 3.1% in 2026.
Recall that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan last year was 2.2%.
