In Azerbaijan, these people can retire 20 years earlier

For people who have worked for many years and feel the burden of age, retirement age sometimes seems like a distant goal. However, this path is not equally long for everyone.

According to BAKU.WS, recently the right to early retirement on preferential terms has become the subject of active discussions, attracting the attention of many citizens.

Retirement 5 years earlier – primarily for mothers

According to Article 8 of the Law "On Labor Pensions", mothers with many children (and sometimes fathers) have the right to retire 5 years earlier. This means that a woman can start receiving a pension at 59 years old, without waiting until the age of 64.

Deputy Vugar Bayramov believes that in most cases women do not use this right, although it is granted to them by law. In some cases, fathers can also use this right.

"This opportunity is not limited to families with many children. According to Article 9 of the Law:

Those working in harmful and difficult working conditions – if men have work experience in such conditions of at least 12 years and 6 months, and women – 10 years, their retirement age is reduced by 5 years.

Art workers – for those who have worked for a long time in theater, music and other fields of art, the age threshold is also reduced.

Aviation and civil aviation employees – receive the right to early retirement due to the specifics of the profession.

Persons with disabilities – some diseases can become the basis for reducing the retirement age by up to 20 years. In this case, a person can receive a pension even at 45 years old".

Currently, according to Article 7 of the Law "On Labor Pensions":

Retirement age for men – 65 years,

Retirement age for women – 64 years.

These age indicators increase by 6 months each year, and this trend continues.
