Global updated city ranking presented at WUF13

The international consulting company Boston Consulting Group presented an updated global city ranking at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the city of Baku is also included in the ranking.

Boston Consulting Group representative Ekaterina Shapochka said that European cities maintain their leadership in terms of livability.

According to her, Zurich, London, and Oslo occupy the top three positions in the ranking, however Shanghai and Central Asian cities are rapidly closing the gap.

She noted that Shanghai holds the 14th place in the ranking.

Shapochka added that developing cities are demonstrating the greatest progress in terms of livability, and if this trend continues, "the flow of talent may shift in their direction."
