Fitch Solutions: Manat exchange rate will remain stable in 2026
The monetary policy of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), significant foreign exchange reserves, and the managed floating exchange rate regime will continue to ensure the stability of the manat.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to APA, this is stated in the Fitch Solutions (FS) report on Azerbaijan.
The report notes that the manat to dollar exchange rate in 2026 will remain at the level of 1.7, and no major changes are expected in the near future.
The organization believes that in the absence of major external shocks, there are no grounds for sharp exchange rate fluctuations.
According to the forecast, despite high inflationary pressures, the overall downward trend allows the CBA to gradually ease its policy, which will be one of the main factors supporting exchange rate stability.
