Electric buses will be produced in Azerbaijan: new agreement signed

Agreement signed on the production of electric buses in Azerbaijan.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this information was shared by the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov on his page on the social network X.

He stated that within the framework of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, a meeting was held with Alexander Vlaskamp, CEO of MAN Truck & Bus SE. During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation in industry and trade were discussed, especially regarding the localization of electric vehicle production.

It was noted that today an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Economy, Improtex Trucks & Buses, and MAN Truck & Bus SE. The document provides for the production of electric buses in Azerbaijan, localization of production, and strengthening of export capabilities.

M. Jabbarov emphasized that this partnership will make an important contribution to the diversification of industry in the country, as well as to the development of environmentally friendly vehicle production.
