Azerbaijan and UAE expand energy cooperation
The Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, during a working visit to the UAE.
As BAKU.WS reports, the head of the economic department announced this on his account on the social network X.
"We signed a new cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Economy and XRG - the international investment unit of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC - ed.)
This agreement will expand the partnership between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and XRG, which cooperate in gas production, in the direction of diversifying energy supply.
The document is of strategic importance in terms of strengthening economic ties between Azerbaijan and the UAE, attracting investments in our country's energy infrastructure, diversifying revenues, and strengthening our role as a reliable partner," the publication states.
