Is a new wave of coronavirus expected in Azerbaijan?

Specialist-expert of the Ministry of Health, infectious disease specialist Tayyar Eyvazov, in a conversation with Oxu.Az, gave a comprehensive assessment of the situation.

According to the expert, despite the registration of individual cases of infection, the epidemiological picture in Azerbaijan remains stable, as in previous months.

"The epidemiological situation is stable. The disease usually proceeds in a mild form and in most cases does not cause complications, ending with a complete recovery in a short time. Despite the small number of infections, if the infected person is in a risk group, hospitalization may be required in some cases, but such cases are very rare. The reason for this is the mass immunity already formed in various ways among the population. This gives grounds for optimistic forecasts regarding the spread of infection in the coming months," he said.
