Court will reconsider case of brutal murder of husband ordered by wife

The criminal case of Aziza Seidova, accused of ordering the murder of her own husband, as well as the perpetrators of the crime - Mehdi Mamedli, Elvin Aliyev and Bakhtiyar Farzaliyev - will be reconsidered in court.

According to Oxu.Az, the judicial investigation will be conducted in the Baku Court for Serious Crimes under the chairmanship of Judge Roman Alekberli.

The next hearing has not yet been scheduled.

Recall that the tragic incident occurred on March 15, 2023, in the Mashtaga settlement of the Sabunchi district. Aziza Seidova is charged under Articles 32.3, 32.4, 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.5 (incitement and organization of premeditated murder by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, with particular cruelty, for mercenary motives and by contract) of the Criminal Code. Mehdi Mamedli, Bakhtiyar Farzaliyev, and Elvin Aliyev are charged under Articles 120.2.1, 120.2.4, 120.2.5 (premeditated murder by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, with particular cruelty, for mercenary motives and by contract) of the Criminal Code.

According to the charges, 23-year-old Aziza Seidova initially planned to poison her husband Ali Seidli by mixing rat poison into his food due to his alleged infidelity. However, she later changed her plan and decided to order his murder. Seidova approached her acquaintance Mehdi Mamedli with a request to organize the murder of her husband. They developed a plan together and determined the time when Ali usually came home. On March 15, 2023, Aziza contacted Mehdi and instructed him to kill her husband on that very day. After that, Mamedli and his friends arrived at Seidli's residence at night and ambushed him. When Ali tried to enter his home, Mehdi and his accomplices blocked his path and inflicted 23 stab wounds, from which he died.

It should be noted that during previous court hearings, Aziza Seidova did not plead guilty to the charges. The other defendants - Mehdi Mamedli, Elvin Aliyev, and Bakhtiyar Farzaliyev - admitted their guilt partially.
